Eto yung supposedly na speech ko sa organizations recognition July 6, 2006, this is for you all PULSEans... mga mahal kong mang-aawit...
This choir of heavenly voices aims not just to bring entertainment to the College but also to bring people back into God’s arms and serve the less fortunate through singing. We never consider singing as a talent, for we define talent as something one can do to show others. We sing because it is a God-given gift, whole-heartedly willing to share to others. Something we can use to proclaim God’s undying love for all creation, and reach out for the unfortunate citizens.
It is but a once-in-a-lifetime divine call to be the Chieftain of PULSE. To lead such a army of angelic voices takes more than a man and a servant to be imbedded in one individual. Popularity and prestige is definitely out of the question, because utmost humility is vital to bring the better, if not the best from every effort each member exerts to beautify the music they resonate. If only these angles of mine know how their voice would calm my almost drained soul (and that’s pretty obvious to them). I will not be speaking here if not for them; I won’t be considering myself an effective Chieftain if not for their obedience and compliance. Guys, till next performances, concerts and activities. Let’s take it hand-in-hand for this school year and for the years to come. I am not here if you are not there with me. I would like it better if you will consider me as a friend other than the Chieftain, a kuya perhaps. There is no need for popularity and prestige without the love and care from your brothers and sisters, as the Filipino Soap Opera theme song goes, “MABUTI PANG MAGING BITUING WALANG NINGNING, NAGKUKUBLI SA LIWANAG AT KISLAP NG INYONG PAG-IBIG.”
